Care

In short, NO. If the shoes are machine washed they may lose their colour or shrink.

Suede soles can be worn outside in dry conditions. Rubber soles can be worn in damp conditions. Our shoes are not recommended use in wet weather.

We do not recommend that our printed shoes are worn outside on abrasive surfaces like concrete when a baby is crawling or using a baby walker as dragging toes on rough surfaces will cause damage to the print.

Generally any direct contact on a rough surface will cause damage and when a baby is in the crawling stage of development (as opposed to walking) you would expect toes to be dragged over the surface they are crawling over. The shoes will wear more during this stage but they are doing a great job of protecting little feet.

Our motif styles will wear in the same place but because the leather isn't printed it will just look scuffed. If your child is in a baby walker for example this is more likely to happen. This is normal as the shoes are made from soft leather to allow natural growth and movement which is essential for good foot health.

*Sheepskin is a natural fibre so some shedding and gradual colour fade may occur.

*Avoid exposure to prolonged direct sunlight

*Every sheepskin is unique with its own natural characteristics so colour, pile and size can vary slightly.

*Shaking and regular brushing is recommended.

*Spot Clean with a soft damp cloth.

*Specialist dry clean is recommended for heavy soiling.

* Do NOT Tumble Dry or Iron

* We DO NOT recommend Hand or Machine washing.

HOWEVER we know sometimes a good wash may be the only solution. So if you do decide to immerse your sheepskin in water here are some tips.

Machine Wash (At your own risk)

*Use hand-wash /wool cycle. MAX temp 38C/110F

*Use Cold Cycle if you are unsure.

*Use a small amount of wool detergent that is recommended for Merino Sheepskin. (Non-alkaline, enzyme and bleach-free)

*DO NOT use Fabric conditioner

*Spin gently to remove excess water.

Please note that this information is only to provide helpful info and any washing and drying of sheepskin products is done at your own risk. We cannot be held responsible for any unforeseen damage that may occur.

Drying Instructions

*Product should be pulled/stretched gently back into original size/shape while damp prior to drying.

*Brush gently with a suitable wool carding brush whilst product is still damp and again when rug is completely dry. This will make rug fluffy again.

*Products should be dried flat where possible.

*Dry naturally away from direct sunlight and direct heat such as radiators, heaters or fires as it will cause hardening of the rug and can cause shrinkage.

*Do NOT Tumble dry or Iron

Product

Rubber soles are more durable outdoors.

We recommend our suede soles for pre walkers, they will allow them to grip their toes more easily which will help them develop a sense of balance. Once they are more confident on their feet we would recommend our rubber soles. They will be more durable outdoors and are still flexible and lightweight.

All designs are available with suede or rubber soles. Once you have chosen a design and selected a size a drop down will appear for you to select sole the sole type.
